05/22/2025

The 20th edition of the festival will be held in Pamplona from 2 to 7 March 2026.

NICDO (Navarra Impulsa Cultura, Deporte y Ocio) has opened the licitation process for the artistic direction of the Punto de Vista festival, which will hold its 20th edition in Pamplona from 2 to 7 March 2025. All the conditions and information regarding the procedure are available on this website. Those wishing to submit their proposals may do so until 6 June.

The process specifications for the new artistic direction, with an annual contract that can be extended up to a maximum of four years, specify the established price, which is not subject to scoring, and the requirements requested for the presentation of candidatures, among which are the accreditation of solvency; as well as the scoring criteria for the proposal: qualitative (project for the artistic direction, which includes the evaluation of social criteria and links with the territory, and professional experience); and quantifiable through formulas.

Punto de Vista festival, promoted by the Government of Navarra and organised by NICDO since 2018, has maintained a dual management structure since its inception, with an executive director belonging to the public company that is maintained over time, and an artistic director, which is renewed every four years.

Thus, the five artistic heads that Punto de Vista has had in its 19 editions to date have been, in chronological order: Carlos Muguiro, current director of the Elías Querejeta Zine Eskola; Josetxo Cerdán, former director of Filmoteca Española, professor of Audiovisual Communication and member of the University Institute of Spanish Cinema at UC3M; Oskar Alegria, filmmaker from Navarre whose most recent film, ‘Zinzindurrunkarratz’ has had an important international festival tour; Garbiñe Ortega, film curator, editor, teacher at Elias Querejeta Zine Eskola and artistic director of the Dirdira project; and Manuel Asín, programmer at the Círculo de Bellas Artes, who is closing his time at Punto de Vista after four years committed to the most innovative documentary filmmaking.  Each artistic director has left his or her mark on the personality of Punto de Vista, adding to the common project and making it a benchmark of quality and one of the essential annual events on an international level.

The festival will celebrate its 20th edition from 2 to 7 March 2026.
