Nayra Sanz Fuentes is an independent filmmaker, writer and producer. Through a critical and poetic gaze, her work explores the boundaries between the visible and the hidden, the individual and structures of power.
With a background in Hispanic Philology, Philosophy and Film Direction, she has developed a filmography that moves between fiction, documentary and the cinematic essay. Her work delves into the close relationship between human beings, nature and technology.
She is the founder of the production company Rinoceronte Films and combines her creative work with teaching and cultural programming.
Nayra Sanz Fuentes presents the outcome of the research project carried out for X Films during her stay in the Huarte Centre. The project draws on the wound in order to approach the body as a place to register tradition, risk, and collective belonging.
