In focus

Section composed of three programmes. One about the most restless and innovative paths of documentary exploration, related to the Sensory Ethnography Lab —“Amidst the Flies”—, one about the artistic re-editing of the chaotic internet archive —“Permanence of the Ephemeral”—, and one based on the work of Alia Syed, a Welsh filmmaker of Indian origin.

Ricercata

A section that delves into the searches and experimentation of cinematic language, whose name —from the Italian, ricercare, “to search”— is inspired by 16th-century musical compositions characterised by their exploratory style. It consists of three programmes: a spectacular journey through the history of experimental 3D cinema —“Forever Young: Cinema in Relief”—, the creation of cinema collectively —“Cinema in Common”—, and the exhibition of suggestive films from our immediate context, with the filmmakers explaining their work processes —“Termitas”—.

Txinparta

The festival’s section for young audiences, named after the small luminous particle that flies up into the air when a fire is lit — from the Basque txinparta, meaning “spark”. A session for families, two workshops, a screening for high school students from Navarre, sessions at the University of Navarre and Public University of Navarre, and the continuation of the “Young Programmers” activities.

Music at Punto de Vista

As it does every year, Punto de Vista is giving a prominent place to music, and in its nineteenth edition this will be expanding. The festival programme includes a series of concerts, DJ sessions and radio programmes with live music.
